When injected to the skin it causes a temporary paralysation of the muscle resulting in a restricted movement giving a smooth appearance. ​ How long does it last? On average around 3-4 months depending on lifestyle and genetic factors. Is it painful? Botox is the least painful of all non surgical procedures and only take around 15-20 minutes. You could have topical anaesthetic applied if you have a low pain threshold. ​ When will I see results? You should start to see results in your first week and full effects after 14 days. Kelly will give you a follow up appointment after 2 weeks to make sure your happy with your results and if necessary top ups can be applied. What are the side effects? The most reported side effect is headache/migraines these generally subside once the full effects of treatment have taken place (14 days). Pain at injection site or bruising are all common.
